Work At Brinkworth
Brinkworth are looking for Freelance Senior Interior Designers to join our team.
We are looking for talented designers who exhibit a passion and knowledge of a wide spectrum of design disciplines- particularly in, architecture, art, fashion, lifestyle trends, furniture design and graphic design. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an ability to balance creative flair with technical expertise in order to deliver dynamic and innovative spaces.
- As the successful candidate you will join our existing project teams, working closely with our Associate Directors on a variety of mainly retail projects. The current requirement is initially for a minimum 3 month contract with potential to extend, or join us full time, at the end of this period.
- You must have a minimum of 8 years professional experience and be adept in all stages of the design process across an assortment of project sizes, from the outset of initial concept stage and presenting to clients, through to construction detailing and on site implementation.
- Excellent presentation skills are essential and you should have a sophisticated and contemporary design language which can be conveyed through exceptional visualisation and drawing skills, whether computer aided or freehand.
Candidates should proficient in both Vectorworks (2D & 3D), and Photoshop and be competent in Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign. Experience of using a 3D rendering package, preferably Artlantis, Cinema 4D or Renderworks, would be advantageous.
All Candidates should be fluent in English.

Zadok Ben David - 'Blackfield' Installation
London-based artist Zadok Ben David created this incredible installation using 12,000 cut steel botanical specimens modeled from old textbook illustrations, each embedded in a thin layer of sand. On first encountering the sprawling array of plants they appear completely black, thus the installation’s title: Blackfield. However when viewed from the opposite side, a field of black turns into a wall of color

Microbial World
For the 2011 edition of Dutch Design Week, Netherlands-based giant Philips will be showing five lifelike models of concepts for the Microbial Home, a forward looking group of design concepts that represent an innovative and sustainable approach to energy, waste, lighting, food preservation, cleaning, grooming, and human waste management.
