New Gallery at Kings Cross
BOUND is the inaugural exhibition at All Visual Arts’ (AVA) new space at Kings Cross. Featuring new work byAlice Anderson and Kate MccGwire that tap into some of our deep-seated fears. The space is dominated by two sculptures, one by each artist, specially commissioned by AVA. Anderson’s Fort-Da is evocative and autobiographical. MccGwire’s Corvid is the contrary, instinctual and without narrative.

Festival of Britain - 1951
This month marks the 60th Anniversary of the Festival of Britain, held in 1951 as a way of building national moral following the end of WWII and promoted better-quality design in the rebuilding of British towns and cities following the war.
The anniversary sees a number of activities and exhibitions at the original epicentre of the festival along London's South Bank.

416 Snack Bar, Toronto.
This man is Adrian and he made us some fierce brown drinks called Blackbird's (Wildturkey and Montenegro) so we made him drink some too. Amazing food (including the "ribwich" and "fried thing") and a mazing hospitality. Definatley will be back next time we're in town. 416 at Bathurst and Queen West. Go visit.
